The Trip

In the beginning, the plan started off simple enough. During polite conversation someone said "hey... let's go to California this summer!" As good of an idea this seemed to all, merely visiting California just was not epic enough for some. The plan quickly changed from visiting California to driving there, and then changed to a road trip across the entire United States. As the epicness increased however, practicality took a nose dive into the Mariana Trench. Some of the travelers pointed out that a half-day in each major city is not nearly enough time. And so, like in many apocalyptic films, New York was the first to go, followed shortly by Washington DC and much of the Eastern Seaboard.

What remained was a trip of roughly 12 main stops. This was still too much for some of the travelers, so it was decided that some would fly in and out when they could. The result is a 40 day period of rotating people coming and going along the way. The purpose of this blog is to document their adventure.

I have written some maybe-not-so-true (and even some yet-to-be-true) stories about some of the adventurers there. If you read the descriptions, you will become aware of a little competition that will be ongoing during the trip. You can check out what that is exactly here.
